Several fastener news sources announced that Fastener Fair has been acquired by Reed Exhibitions. When asked on Twitter how this would affect the fastener industry, Fastener Fair responded on Twitter….
“Fastener Fair USA will have the same show team and provide the same great service and exhibition experience you’ve come to know and love. We aren’t going anywhere, and we hope you aren’t either!”
OK. I don’t know much about Reed Exhibitions but I guess we will see. Any thoughts?
There are some very interesting comments, in regards to Reed Exhibitions, on GLASSDOOR,.
Their website states, “Reed Exhibitions is the world’s leading events business, enhancing the power of face to face through data and digital tools at over 500 events a year, in 30 countries, attracting more than 7m participants.” As Ray Southam said “only time will tell”. I do hope that they try to reduce the number emails soliciting attendee list for sale. I receive far too much junk mail.
Reed like Mack Brooks is a global exhibition company with no fastener experience. If Reed keeps the Mack Brooks experienced fastener teams in place I would see it as a seamless move. I am not sure what additional expertise Reed could bring to the table, only time will tell.
Well, it’s not Invasion of the Body Snatchers, at least not the original. That gave me the Willie’s. This doesn’t. It could actually be better. I always had a little Alfred E. Neuman in me. Oh look, a big pod.
