Midwest Fastener Association Show

I am looking forward to attending the Midwest Fastener Show next week.  I have not been to this event in a few years.  I recall the last time I went that the "Fastener Bash" was pretty good and that a lot of people showed up after the show to have a drink and socialize.  Networking is always an important part of any trade show and I like the idea of having a specific place to meet for three hours after the table top part is over.

Like I said, last time I went the bash was well attended.  I hope it will be again this time.  I also look forward to seeing some of the exhibitors that did not attend the Columbus Fastener Show.  My gut feeling is that there are several people that refuse to support the Fastener Show East so that the Midwest Fastener Show becomes the spring/East Coast show by default.  Just a hunch.  It is an ongoing dilemna for some companies deciding which one to attend.  I'll let you know how I think this one goes.

Any company "boycotting" the National Industrial Fastener Show/East with the hope and/or intent of putting it out of business is hurting itself rather than the Show.
Our May 19-20 event in Columbus, Ohio was successfil by all measures and we received numerous positive comments from exhibitors who did good business there.
We attracted 1,167 distributors, importers, manufactirers, sales reps and many others from throughout the USA and 12 foreign countries including Canada, China, Columbia, Ghana, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Venezuela.
U.S. visitors came from 38 states including a number from the West coast.
Our 2009 Show returns to Columbus and in 2010 we are scheduled for Baltimore, where we had a good Show several years ago.
The East Show is completely different than the Midwest Show and qwe do not view the latter as a competitor.
We thank the many companies who continue supporting the National Industrial Fastener Show/East (and West)...and we are not going away.
